Lost your way?

Your dreams?

Welcome to Lost.

It was supposed to be a small escape. A few hours driving before turning around and heading home. But once you arrive in Lost... well, it's a place you really can't leave. Not until you're Found. Only the Missing Man can send you home. And he took one look at Lauren Chase and disappeared.

So Lauren is now trapped in the town where all lost things go -- luggage, keys, dreams, lives -- where nothing is permanent, where the locals go feral and where the only people who don't want to kill her are a handsome wild man called the Finder and a knife-wielding six-year-old girl. The only road out of town is engulfed by an impassable dust storm, and escape is impossible...

Until Lauren decides nothing -- and no one -- is going to keep her here anymore.

I very rarely add anything to my TBR list except YA titles nowadays, but I seriously couldn’t resist with this one. A town that’s made up of people and things and dreams that have been lost?! YES PLEASE. This sounds like it could be amazing. Also the knife-weilding 6-year-old sounds adorable. …Um, okay maybe adorable isn’t the right word, but still. What with the cover, and the incredibly unique premise, and that blurb that just makes me want to know more immediately… It’s not YA? Who cares?! I need The Lost in my life.

What book are YOU anxiously awaiting today?

Link me to your WoW post and I’ll be sure to stop by! :)

  1. Sarah Beth Durst rings some sort of a bell in my mind, but I can’t tell what exactly. At any rate, The Lost seems like a title I’d love reading, so thank you for sharing it!

Here’s my WOW! I hope you can stop by!

  2. First, thank you so much for stopping by my WoW post and leaving such a thoughtful comment! ^.^ Now we can get to gushing about how awesome this book is going to be! I can’t wait to see the “adorable” 6 year-old girl either, and the sheer amount of awesome stuff that could be “lost” is pretty wild. My main question is how literal the author will be (lost keys) or abstract (lost sense of self). Added to my TBR, thanks!

  3. Even though I’m a bit sad that they changed the color of this cover it’s till SO PRETTY *_* And it’s sounds amazing too! I haven’t read a book by her yet but I have one in my kindle. Might read that one first and see if I like her writing style and then get this one.
