Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his wills.

Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them.

And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father. For years, like the Reckoners, David's been studying, and planning - and he has something they need. Not an object, but an experience.

He's seen Steelheart bleed. And he wants revenge.

WhyImWaiting_v2

Brandon Sanderson is my favorite. FAVORITE. So when I heard he was writing a YA dystopian about evil superheroes (supervillians?) and the normal humans who fight them, I was a goner. Sanderson is a genius, and this is pretty much guaranteed to be a standout in the YA dystopian genre. Why is September so far awayyyy?? :(

    • Thanks Megan! If there’s one thing Sanderson is good at, it’s following through on a great premise – so this should be an awesome read. :D

    • You said the one thing that would’ve gotten you an instant follow – if I wasn’t already a new follower of yours! haha. Hooray fellow Sanderson fan! :D

    • Yes!! I actually have an ARC of The Rithmatist but I haven’t posted my review here yet – it reads more like middle grade than YA, but it’s really good! He has so many ideas and books that he’s going to be working on… I’m just glad he’s young, lol. ;) I’m definitely a fan of his for life.
