Lisa McMann's Wake trilogy meets the blockbuster Inception in this dark page-turner from #1 New York Times bestselling author Aprilynne Pike.

Oracles see the future but are never supposed to interfere. Charlotte learned that the hard way. If she hadn't tried to change one of her childhood visions, her father would still be alive. Since the accident, Charlotte has suppressed her visions to avoid making the same mistake. But when she receives a premonition of a classmate's murder, she can no longer ignore her powerful gift.

Then Charlotte meets someone who not only knows her secret but who also has a way for her to stop the killer. He offers to teach her how to manipulate her visions to change the future. But doing so will put Charlotte in the path of the murderer...

Two words: THAT COVER. *_* I haven’t read anything by Aprilynne Pike yet, but seriously, put a cover like that on a book that’s apparently being compared to Inception and I’m a lost cause. Plus I haven’t read many (any?) books about oracles when it comes to a “race to change the future” (pretty sure the only books I’ve read like that have been timey-wimey rather than paranormal), so I’m really curious to see how the whole Oracle thing goes.

What book are YOU anxiously awaiting today?

  1. Hmm I hadn’t heard about this book before! And I actually haven’t read any Pike either! The oracle aspect does sound pretty interesting :)
Hopefully you enjoy it when it comes out!

  2. I didn’t really love the other series from Pike, but this sounds pretty good and the cover is great. I am a bit cautious when a book is being compared to other books or movies though. Especially if it’s a movie or book I really loved. My expectation tend to go a bit high then. :)

  3. Wow, this sounds awesome. I haven’t read anything by the author before but I really like the sounds of this one so I’d love to give it a try. Thanks for sharing and I hope you enjoy reading it when it comes out.
Come check out my WOW post.
