Alyssa Gardner has been down the rabbit hole and faced the bandersnatch. She saved the life of Jeb, the guy she loves, and escaped the machinations of the disturbingly seductive Morpheus and the vindictive Queen Red. Now all she has to do is graduate high school and make it through prom so she can attend the prestigious art school in London she's always dreamed of.

That would be easier without her mother, freshly released from an asylum, acting overly protective and suspicious. And it would be much simpler if the mysterious Morpheus didn’t show up for school one day to tempt her with another dangerous quest in the dark, challenging Wonderland—where she (partly) belongs.

As prom and graduation creep closer, Alyssa juggles Morpheus’s unsettling presence in her real world with trying to tell Jeb the truth about a past he’s forgotten. Glimpses of Wonderland start to bleed through her art and into her world in very disturbing ways, and Morpheus warns that Queen Red won’t be far behind.

If Alyssa stays in the human realm, she could endanger Jeb, her parents, and everyone she loves. But if she steps through the rabbit hole again, she'll face a deadly battle that could cost more than just her head.

When I saw this title appear on NetGalley the other day, I flipped out (sorry, Twitter). I loved Splintered (← click for review), and I cannot WAIT for this sequel!! I am a little wary because it sounds like Jeb is going to be on Alyssa’s mind a lot (not a Jeb fan, me), but LOOK AT ALL THE POTENTIAL FOR MORE MORPHEUS. I mean… yeah okay, he’s the main reason I’m so excited for this book. Can you blame me?! Didn’t think so. I am crossing my fingers SO HARD that I get approved for this title, because I just can’t wait until January. I really can’t.

What book are YOU anxiously awaiting today?

Link me to your WoW post and I’ll be sure to stop by! :)

  1. I didn’t love SPLINTERED (actually, I only sort of liked it, for the most part), but I DO want to read UNHINGED. I’m hoping that its sequel is better, and it looks like craziness and interesting occurrences may ensue!

  2. I have Splintered on my Kindle, I still haven’t read it yet though, but it sounds good! Want to buy me the physical copies though as the covers are stunning! :)

    Great choice!

  3. I’m hoping with everything I have that I get approved on Netgalley. I just read Splintered not that long ago(writing my review as we speak) and I’m dying to see what happens. And this book isn’t even my norm kind of story. Great pick!

  4. I haven’t even read Splintered yet (soon, promise!) and I’m already excited about this one. Could be the cover. Could be the hype. Could be the Alice in Wonderland theme. But regardless… GIMME. January is a long way away, no? : ) Hope you get approved and you love it as much as you hope!

  5. I feel like I’m the only person who didn’t love Splintered…I actually kind of hated it…but I am looking forward to this one because I’m hoping it will be better. Mostly because I actually loved the writing in Splintered but despised all the characters and I’m hoping they’ll become more likable in the sequel.
