Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. It features weekly top-ten lists, and this week it’s

…a Top Ten Tuesday REWIND – pick a past topic you missed or one you want to revisit!

This was SO HARD. I’ve only been doing TTT’s for 6 weeks now, so I went through the entire “past topics” list and ended up with more than a few that I wanted to do… so I randomly chose this one out of the bunch. :)

  1. I strongly recommend Shadow and Bone, it’s probably the best high fantasy novel I’ve read in a long time. Amazing world, strong characters and all that. VA is also an interesting series. :)

    • Ooh, that’s high praise! I can’t wait to read it, hopefully I’ll get to it before too long – at least before Siege and Storm comes out. :)

  2. If it makes you feel better, you’re not alone on some of these! The only ones I’ve read are Uglies and The Book Thief (which I definitely recommend). The rest are ones that I too am still waiting to read. The two I really am dying to get my hands on are Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Shadow and Bone. So many great reviews and really, the cover whore in me gets excited just looking at them!

  3. I haven’t read most of these books as well! I’m buying Shadow and Bone next month, and The Book Thief is on my list. I highly recommend Daughter of Smoke and Bone, though. One of my all time favourites.

    • It’s so good to know I’m not alone! I’ve heard such awesome things about DoS&B, I’ll be really excited when I eventually get around to reading it…!

  4. I’ve read 4 of these. Well, 4 1/2 because I’ve tried to read ENDER’S GAME several times and just can’t do it. It’s terribly written, IMHO, and I just don’t understand why so many people rave about it. But, whatever — just know you’re not alone in that one. I haven’t finished it either! I do hope you get time to read all these.

  5. I actually just read The Giver at the end of March and I was definitely feeling that I was the only one!! I need to read Shadow & Bone and Uglies ASAP.. I’ve heard such good things!! I just finished Hex Hall recently(and the entire series for that matter) and highly recommend it!! It was such an awesome read :) Great topic!!!

  6. I haven’t read any of these beside The Book Thief (which I didn’t love like everyone else seems to), but the book I definitely feel most “behind” on of the above is Anna and the French Kiss. It feels like everyone in the book community have read, and loved, this book.
