Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy…But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread.

Most of these are actual physical copies – it was easiest for me to just look at my bookshelf and pick a few I hadn’t read. A few are eBooks though – I probably actually own more unread ebooks than physical books… easier to impulse-buy, heh. ;)

    • Yep, that’s kind of what happened to me too. I read Looking for Alaska and TFIOS, and then got sidetracked… oops!

Thanks for stopping by, fellow-Nikki! ;)

  1. Thanks for stopping by! I honestly can’t wait to get stuck in The Archived. I think once I’ve finished the novellas I’m currently reading it’s going to be the next book to read.
Nice looking at Splintered sat on your shelf too – it’s definitely just not wanting to damage such a beautiful cover ;).

    • I can’t wait to hear what you think of The Archived! I hope you love it.

Yes, the Splintered cover is just gorgeous. I can’t fathom why I haven’t read it yet!

    • Gah I know!!! I’m so excited to read it but it’s just gotten pushed down the list as my whims carry me elsewhere… lol

I highly recommend the Unearthly series (even though I’m being a bad fan about the last book).

  2. Okay, you need to drop what you’re doing right now and pick up Will Grayson, Will Grayson. It. Is. TO-DIE-FOR! So good! I’m really interested in reading Splintered, though I haven’t purchased it yet. And if I’m being honest, I’m a little intimidated to actually read A Game of Thrones. For now, I’ve been sticking with the show. One of these days….

    • Hahaha! Okay okay, I will move WGWG wayyyyyyy up on my to-read list!! I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it though, because I have seen a few so-so reviews. But I just love everything else John Green, so I’ll probably love that one too.

I am SUPER intimidated by Game of Thrones too, which is why it’s still sitting on my shelf unread. (Actually, books 1 and 2 are sitting on my shelf unread. Doubly intimidating.)

  3. I have several of these on my shelf, too! I started reading THE WAY OF KINGS because I love me some Brandon Sanderson, but then the book came due at the library and that was that … I haven’t continued with it. I might just have to buy the book — oh, wait! *Sigh*

  4. I’m trying to read through Game of Thrones right now and it’s so daunting! I read for an hour and my Kindle says I’ve gone 2% but the book is amazing and the writing is awesome. Just prepare to lose a lot of hours on it.

    • That’s exactly what I’m worried about – getting stuck in GoT and not having time for other books too… I might end up doing a chapter-a-day thing or something, and make my very slow way through it. I wonder if it’s even possible to stop after a single chapter every time? Hmm.

  5. Nice list! I’ve heard of most of these and want to read a lot of them. I have Splintered, too–I need to start it ASAP because I joined the readalong. I’ve heard it’s really good! And thanks for the sympathies with The Fault in Our Stars. Sigh, that book. Thanks for sharing and stopping by!
