Feature & Follow Friday (#1!)

Format: select

It’s Feature & Follow Friday! This is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read, for bloggers to answer a weekly question and meet other book bloggers!

This week’s question is: Activity! Hopefully warm weather for most of us is here soon… so tell us about your favorite outdoor reading spot. Or take a picture.

I love reading outside in the summertime – when it’s not raining, that is, which is pretty often for Seattle. But when it’s sunny, you will usually find me outside with a book (or Nook!). A huge reason I bought my Nook is because I was reading more eBooks, but hated being limited to my laptop or iPad, which obviously can’t be read in the sun. ANYWAY, my favorite outdoor reading spot is on the lake near where I live. My parents have a boat that we moor on the water every summer, and I LOVE getting to go out and just float on the lake for a while and read in the sunsine. :) Where’s your favorite reading spot?

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog! I’ve never been to Seattle (I very much want to!), but from what I’ve seen on TV and movies, I can so easily picture myself reading somewhere outdoors – near the water or outside a cafe.

It looks like we have similar taste in books, so I’m following on GR and Twitter, too :)

    Here’s my F&F

    • I hope you get a chance to visit some day! When it’s not raining, anywhere near the water is just gorgeous, and so peaceful. :)

Thanks for the double follow! Added you back :)

    • Reading in a moving car bothers a lot of people, I think. It’s nice reading on a boat (well, one that isn’t moving!) because you don’t get that sense of things passing by in your peripheral vision – just gently rocking and the noise of the water. :)

      Thanks for stopping by!

    • Aw, that’s too bad. My family are huge water-skiers, so I think being super comfortable on the water is probably in my genes or something, lol.

      Thanks for the follow! :)

  2. It’s a beautiful place to read! I really want to visit Seattle someday, too. My husband and I almost did in 2011 for our tenth anniversary, but we ended up going to Vegas. He really really wanted to play Blackjack, lol.

New follower by email and Twitter! :)
